About Troy
Troy has been a resident of Cumberland since 2013, when he moved here with his partner Beth to start a family. Now, the Therrien family has their roots firmly planted in Cumberland soil. Troy runs Learn Comox Valley and offers math and science tuition to students throughout the Comox Valley.
Having served on the Village of Cumberland’s Advisory Planning Commission, Troy wants to serve the community in a bigger capacity as councilor, where his practical, no-nonsense approach and his attention to policy detail will help him make a difference.
Troy has a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics. He can often be found on the disc golf course or on the slopes of Mount Washington, where he teaches skiing. You may have seen in him around the village, as he often volunteers with the Cumberland Food Share program and on other occasions.
